Parents and Kids Daily Devotional "This Is Living"Sample

In a Sunday School one morning, a little boy asked his Sunday School teacher about the relationship between an egg and Easter. She smiled and answered, “When we look at an egg, we don’t see life. As a matter of fact, there’s nothing interesting about the appearance of an egg. But you know what, something big is actually happening inside the egg. Something is being formed that we can’t see with our eyes. Not yet. It takes time and process before we see a little chicken hatched and living freely outside the shell of the egg.”

That’s what happened to Jesus when He was buried. A stone was rolled to cover the tomb where Jesus’ body was laid to rest. Lifeless. Everything seemed to have stopped right there and then. Little did we know that God the Father was doing something great inside. He raised Jesus from death on the third day.

Because of Jesus’ death, we can receive forgiveness and the gift of salvation. In His resurrection, He broke the power of death. God gave us the victory through Jesus Christ! Because He lives, we are set free. There is hope for a future!

Hallelujah! Because He lives, I can have tomorrow!

Devotion for Parents
It is comforting to know that there’s a tomorrow for all of us. We know that we are still given opportunities to fix what’s broken, to do what we want to do, and achieve many things in life. All of these are possible because of Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross.

Never waste your tomorrow. Make the best of your days so that His name shall be glorified.
