Jesus Listens for KidsSample

Dear Jesus,

Help me quit trying to make everything work out in a hurry—when I want it to. I can’t control what happens or when it happens. I can only live today. So anytime an idea or something I want to do grabs my attention, help me remember to stop and ask You if it’s part of Your plan for me today. If it’s not, I can just leave it with You and trust You to take care of it. Then I can get busy again with what I need to do today. When I remember to live like this, my life is a lot happier and simpler. The Bible teaches that there is a right time for everything.

You’ve promised so many blessings to those who trust in You: new strength, hope, and the confidence that You’re always near. Trusting You and waiting for Your perfect timing is actually a way for me to worship You. It shows that I’m depending on You and I’m ready to do Your will.

This world can be a really messy and confusing place. But I’m learning that living close to You makes my life simpler and less confusing. I praise You, Jesus, because You have defeated the world. Thank You for telling me these things so that I can have peace in You.
