Draw Near - PrayerSample
The Bible says to pray continually. How is it possible to pray continually, if we still need to go to school, talk to our friends, eat, and go about our day?
Praying continually doesn’t mean we’re on our knees, eyes closed intensely praying all day long. Praying continually is an attitude, a way of being aware of God all throughout your day. You can talk to God in your mind as you do the things you usually do in your day.
We take 17,000-30,000 breaths per day. We’re continually breathing in and out as we go about our lives. Like breathing, we can sense God’s presence with us anywhere no matter what we’re doing. Take a big deep breath in and out right now. Just like air is always flowing through us, God is always with us. We can pray continually; God is always listening.

About this Plan
This devotional is designed to lead children and pre-teens to draw near to God through prayer. We want to learn to pray because of who God is, not what He does and to understand Holy Spirit helps us pray.
