Our relationship with God isn’t just one sided, it’s a friendship. We can talk to God and He talks with us. If you had a friend that you talked to all the time and they listened to you and paid attention, but when they speak you don’t listen or pay attention to them at all, then what kind of friendship is that?
The Bible says we can listen to God’s voice and follow Him. Our relationship with God doesn’t just go one way, we listen and God speaks to us, we speak to Him and He listens to us.
God speaks to us in all kinds of ways. It may be a still small voice you hear in your heart as you’re praying. It may be an answer to your prayers. God speaks to us through His Word. God speaks to us as we worship Him. God may speak to you in a dream or vision. God is speaking, are you listening?

This devotional is designed to lead children and pre-teens to draw near to God through prayer. We want to learn to pray because of who God is, not what He does and to understand Holy Spirit helps us pray.
