Draw Near - PrayerSample

The book of Acts is filled with incredible stories of how the church began and the Good News about Jesus was shared. We hear about Peter, one of Jesus disciples, who was imprisoned by King Herod. King Herod had it in for the church and did not like followers of Jesus. Peter did nothing wrong, but Herod had him in his sights, Peter was locked in chains and watched by four soldiers at all times with guards as lookouts at the entrance.
While Peter was in prison, the people of the church prayed continually for a miracle.

About this Plan

This devotional is designed to lead children and pre-teens to draw near to God through prayer. We want to learn to pray because of who God is, not what He does and to understand Holy Spirit helps us pray.
