Relationship Goals

DAY 5 OF 5

Have you ever cleaned out a filter in a fish tank? It’s nasty. The point of the filter is to get rid of all the nasty stuff in the water so the fish have clean water to live in. All the bad bacteria, algae, and unhealthy particles get stuck in the filter until someone cleans it out and throws them away. It’s not fun to do, but it’s necessary to have healthy fish. Have you ever thought about your own filter for your heart, mind, and body? As we go throughout our days, things are constantly coming into our mind— we see things, hear things, experience things, and think about things that impact how we think and live, whether we realize it or not. God wants us to live holy, healthy lives. To do that, we need to focus on things that he says are good!

Challenge: Practice filtering everything you put into your mind and body today. Take a moment before listening to, eating, watching, or reading anything throughout your day. Ask yourself if this is good and holy or harmful— and make the right choice for you.

Day 4

About this Plan

Relationship Goals

Relationships are complicated, and relationships can be confusing if you're single, dating someone, or just putting feelers out there to see who you're attracted to. While the Bible never explicitly talks about "dating" relationships (because dating as we know it didn't exist when it was written), we can learn a lot of wisdom about relationships, singleness, attraction, and feelings.
