Go and Make Disciples!

Close your eyes. Imagine the scene you just read about- an earthquake, an angel whose appearance was like lightning - whose clothes were as white as snow! The guards trembling with fear and the women receiving instructions to spread the news. Can you picture it? Read verses 1-8 again, then close your eyes and play it over again in your mind.

Go deep: Next, imagine seeing Jesus! Two kingdoms: the women of Earth meeting the King of Heaven on the road! What would you do? What would you say? What would you want to tell Him? Take a moment and tell Jesus what you would want to say to Him if you met him on the road today. After seeing Jesus, the women ran to tell the disciples what they saw and instructed them to head to the mountain to meet up with the King of Kings. What do the disciples do first? Look at verse 17 if you aren't sure. Both the women and the disciples WORSHIP Jesus when they see Him! Then Jesus delivers the biggest BE BOLD statement yet!

Be bold: Go and make disciples of all of the nations. Did you know that there are still areas around the world where people have never had the chance to hear about the good news of Jesus? There are still people who are hurting and lost and who have never been given the chance to choose Jesus. Maybe you live in an area like that. If so, pray for the people in your country or community. If not, pray for the people in the communities where this is true. Consider the command to GO and make disciples. What does that mean to you? Ask God what this commandment means for your life.

Memorise it: Matthew 28:19-20: "Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
