Have you ever walked through the living room while your parents were watching a new movie? It’s about an hour in, and the drama is at its peak. But as you watch, you quickly realize you have no idea why the girl is mad, if you’re supposed to like or dislike the guy she’s yelling at, or if you want the kid to get away with his latest hijinks or get caught. When you don’t have a full picture of what is going on, it can be nearly impossible to know what to think.

This can be true outside of the movies, too. We don’t usually have a full picture of what God is doing at any given moment, and the enemy would love for you to believe that God has forgotten about you and your future. But this is not in line with what Scripture says about Him or His character. You were uniquely created and equipped for this exact time and place. The halls you walk and the people you interact with are no accident, and because God can see the big picture, you can trust that He has a plan for it all.

Disappointment and pain are part of living in this fallen world, and they can make us question God's plan and goodness. But God is the ultimate redeemer, and He can turn our pain into purpose. Trust that even in the midst of difficult or confusing seasons, God is working behind the scenes to bring about something beautiful. Every joy, disappointment, challenge, and celebration are part of your journey that God will use to shape and mold you into the incredible young woman He created you to be.
