A huge crowd had followed Jesus, eager to hear His words after they saw Him heal the sick and perform miracles.

It was late in the day, and far away from any towns where they could buy food, but Jesus didn’t send them away. A young boy stepped up, offering his small lunch to be shared with those there. So, Jesus used what was in the boy’s hand to feed everyone in a miraculous way!

You can play your part in the Kingdom of God. You are a part of His Church today, not just in the future as a grown up. In today’s Bible story a young boy sat in a crowd listening to Jesus speak. He had five loaves of bread and two fish and brought what was in his hands to Jesus, and with it, thousands were fed.

What’s in your hand? Your thoughts, ideas, feelings, gifts and talents are important and valuable. You can play your part by helping make church and the world a better place.

You can bring your kindness and encourage others. You can bring your faith and pray for others. You can bring your time and effort and serve others. You can bring your good example and lead others. You can bring your smile and brighten another’s day. You can bring your guitar and help others worship. Anything you have to bring, God can use.
