Children of the Bible

DAY 8 OF 15

Imagine it’s dinner time and you get to the table but the table setting looks different to normal. It’s not just the usual plate with a knife and fork… there’s a butter knife, a formal dinner fork, formal dinner knife, a fish fork, fish knife, soup spoon, teaspoon, dessert spoon, dessert fork. There’s a salad plate, bread plate, appetiser plate and dinner plate.

Each knife, fork, spoon and plate has a different use, but that’s a lot to learn. You probably don’t really need to know all of them unless you are a royal, unless you are a king.

The Bible talked about a king that was so young he may not have even known things like which fork to use for a salad, or how to greet other royals. His name was Josiah and he was only eight years old when he became King. Even though he was young, God used him in a mighty way. While many of the kings before him were evil, Josiah brought God’s people back to God.

The Bible is full of stories about children who God used to do amazing things. God doesn’t just use adults to do amazing things, He works through children too. You’re never too young to serve God.
