Real Hope: Abundant LifeSample

Limitless Imagination
It’s always intriguing to me when people’s view of God comes with the idea that He’s limiting, restrictive, and confined. And that our lives are somehow inhibited by His watching over us and His direction.
There are so many verses in scripture like this one in Ephesians where God talks about offering us a full life, an abundant life, one where we’re invited to imagine and dream and layout vision. This ‘abundant life’ isn’t about perfection or ease and affluence but about open, unabandoned, hopeful expectation.
When I consider God’s plan for humanity and His nature toward us, it’s expansive–not restrictive. He sees further than we do, has greater belief in our ability than we can comprehend and, as Jeremiah 29:11 tells us, considers our future with intention and hope.
If a relationship with God is something that makes you nervous or that you think will draw you back in some way, perhaps it’s time you reconsider that and acquaint yourself with a God who invites us unto a life of limitless imagination and promise.
