Can You Receive Abundance?
Do you feel uncomfortable when someone serves you, gives you a compliment, or thanks you for something you’ve done?
This verse is a beautiful display of servanthood from our servant King and an example that it’s more of a blessing to give than to receive – yet for the one who is giving, the blessing includes the person willing to receive the gift instead of rejecting it.
If you have trouble receiving good things, how can you receive God’s gift of grace for you?
This reminds me of John 13:8:
‘Peter said to Him, “You shall never wash my feet!” Jesus answered him, ‘If I do not wash you, you have no part with Me.’
Jesus came to serve – will you let Him?
In other words – will you let Him love you?
Jesus serves us through His life, death, and resurrection so that we can receive the abundance of eternal life. Lift your heart up to God and freely receive God’s gift of grace for you.
Let us be more like Jesus – to serve Him AND be served by Him.
