Armor Up (For the Workplace)Sample
Equipped Through Your Spiritual Giftings
The modern workplace can feel like a battlefield at times. It's important to remember the spiritual battles happening all around us. The devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. (1 Peter 5:8) Whatever your unique challenges, remember you are not alone. God is equipping you. Not through your strength, but in His incomparable might. Not through your earning, but His provision. You live in Christ and therefore, you aren't going into battle unarmed or alone.
As you face challenges, remember that you bring unique talents and skills into the workplace. Your skills likely contribute to your work and the goals of your workplace, and God has provided you with spiritual gifts to use for His glory. These very gifts can help you weather the storms and stand firm in the face of challenges. If you aren't sure what your spiritual gifts are, consider the gifts you use successfully at work for valuable insights. Look at the spiritual gifts you see in Romans 12:6-8, 1 Corinthians 12:8-30, and Ephesians 4:11. What sticks out to you? How can you use your gifts to serve others and glorify God, even through adversity?
We can't very well title a plan "Armor Up" without digging in to the armor of God. That's where we'll head next! As you continue to reflect on your unique giftings, let's look at the pieces of armor God has gifted to all His children. We'll spend the rest of this plan looking at how we can be strong in the Lord by putting on the whole armor of God.
Prayer: Lord, show me how you've gifted me and guide me in stewarding those gifts well.
