Easter - Where It HappenedSample

Near the place where Jesus went to the cross, there was a garden with a tomb no one had ever used. So they buried Jesus in this tomb. A massive stone was rolled over the entrance, and two guards were placed there. Why would a tomb need guards outside? The religious leaders remembered Jesus had said He would die and, after three days, be raised to life again. They thought the disciples would come and steal Jesus’ body away and pretend that Jesus came back to life.
Pilate agreed, and guards were stationed around the tomb. With the guards in place no one would have ever expected to find the tomb empty, but on Sunday morning a group of women discovered that is exactly what happened! Jesus was alive, the tomb was empty and over the next few weeks He would spend time with His disciples and return to Heaven.

About this Plan

The Bible is not a book of made-up stories; it’s about real people and real places, places we can still see today. As we journey through the places where Easter happened, we remember why Easter happened. We remember that Jesus is our Lord, Saviour, and Risen King.
