God's Redemption Story (The Gospels)Sample

The Risen Christ - Day 11
The fun part of the gospel is that Jesus rose from the grave, and we enjoy shouting, “Yay, Jesus! You did it!” But the other part of the gospel is repentance. That’s a little tougher to deal with because it starts with admitting I was wrong.
It may make me uncomfortable and irritated to do it, but repentance serves a valuable purpose. Jesus died and rose again to clean me so that I can be with the Father. How can he clean out the mess unless I give the mess to him? If I am unwilling to admit to the sin, I am missing out on the best part of what he wants to give me—forgiveness.
And forgiveness is where I receive that sweet freedom in Christ.
