When you’re having a rough day, do you ever wonder about your worth? If a friend has blown you off or it feels like no one cares about you, have you wondered whether your life even matters? A lot of girls have had thoughts like that. In the Psalms, we hear from a writer who knows where to find the answer. This writer has prayerfully imagined the very early beginnings of his life, and he sees God knitting him together inside his mother’s body. Isn’t that a wild and beautiful image? Can you see God forming and perfecting you in the same way? You are immeasurably worthy because you are God’s handiwork. You are precious to God, and you are infinitely loved.

Prayer: God, I confess that I do not always feel my worth with the confidence of this psalmist! But I do trust Your Word, and I believe that You made me, You treasure me, and You love me. Amen.
