Jesus: The Greatest GiftSample

Faith is a word you may hear quite a bit among people who go to church. To have faith means to trust and believe. We all practice faith daily. If you sit down in a chair, you trust and believe in that chair, that it will hold you up when you sit down! Faith in Jesus is similar. It means that our trust and belief is in Him and what He did for us through the cross event. Even though we can’t see Him, we know through His life, death, and resurrection that He loves us. And, as a response to His great love for us, we can joyfully put our faith in Him, the One who has rescued us from sin and death. Jesus is the Savior of our souls and the giver of eternal life. This is good news!
Here are some things to do and think about today:
- Read Hebrews 11:1. What is faith?
- Read I Peter 1:8-9. What is the end result of your faith in Jesus?
- Watch the prayer video, Encourage My Faith.

About this Plan

We give gifts to each other on Christmas morning. But, on the very first Christmas morning, we were given the greatest gift ever – Jesus. Over the next four days, we will learn how Jesus is the heart of the true story of God’s love for us. In the Lightgliders virtual world for kids, we call this the “Far Greater Story.”
