Jesus: The Greatest GiftSample

At Christmas, we celebrate the birth of Jesus, who is God’s Son and the Savior of the world. He left His heavenly throne to live among his people! Because Jesus stepped into our story, we can join Him in His story! Read the story of Jesus' birth and reflect upon its meaning to us today. Just like the shepherds in the story, we are to embrace and share the good news of Christmas with others. Christ the Savior is born!
Here are some things to do and think about today:
- Read Luke 2:1-15. What did the shepherds do after they saw the angels praising God?
- Read Luke 2:16-18. What did the shepherds do after they had seen the baby Jesus?
- Read Luke 2:19-21. What did the shepherds do when they returned?
- Watch the prayer video, Christmas Prayer.

About this Plan

We give gifts to each other on Christmas morning. But, on the very first Christmas morning, we were given the greatest gift ever – Jesus. Over the next four days, we will learn how Jesus is the heart of the true story of God’s love for us. In the Lightgliders virtual world for kids, we call this the “Far Greater Story.”
