Have you ever read something in the Bible that felt like it was written just for you? Maybe it was an encouragement you needed to hear about how God is with you and loves you. To read what has been written down thousands of years ago and see that the truths that mattered then are the same truths that speak to us now. To see that our human experience is familiar to all of humanity. To know that God has been present for all of it. There is something incredibly powerful about that, isn’t there?

So, the next time you are reading Scripture and something speaks to where you are right now in this moment, remember this verse. Consider that God’s Word is alive and active, and right now, it is doing what it was intended to do in speaking into your life.
