Ways to Overcome Your Fears: Devotions for Girls (I Am Fearless)Sample

Sometimes doing that thing we're afraid of can help us not be afraid anymore. Before I tried my first rollercoaster, I was so afraid. But then one day I decided to do all of them and loved it!
I also remember being scared to talk to a friend about Jesus, but God helped me, and it became easier. When we get out of our comfort zones, God works in great ways.
Reflection:
From the verse, what kind of spirit has God not given us?
What kind of spirit has God given us?
How can knowing this help you when you feel afraid?
Prayer:
Lord, thank you that I am Fearless. Help me to step out of my comfort zone and to try new things, even if I feel afraid, since I know You are with me. Thank you for giving me a spirit of power, love, and sound judgment. In Jesus' name, amen.
Action:
In your journal, write about something you are afraid to try. Then, write some small steps that can help you accomplish it and conquer your fear. When you do accomplish one of the steps, celebrate! Before you know it, your fear will be lessened and your courage will grow.
