If Jesus Came to My School: A 5-Day Kids Reading PlanSample

Jesus didn’t work alone.
While Jesus was walking by the Sea of Galilee one day, He saw two brothers fishing. He asked these two brothers to join Him. Then He saw two more brothers and told them to “Follow Me” as well! Jesus now had four people following Him as He served and taught the people about God! It’s great to know that God doesn’t want us to serve Him alone. We can find people at our schools who also love Jesus and want to be a light in the darkness!
Question & Activity:
Name or write a list of your classmates on a piece of paper. Review the list and circle the name of a friend who knows about Jesus and might want to share about Him at school too. If you work together and help each other, you can shine even brighter for Jesus at school!
Prayer:
Jesus, I thank You that I am not alone. Help me find friends at school who also love You and want to share Your love with others.

About this Plan

As we send our children to school each day, we know they will have the opportunity to be salt and light in their classrooms for Jesus. Inspired by April Graney’s picture book, If Jesus Came to My School, this devotional walks through how Jesus loved and served people on this earth, encouraging children to treat their classmates with kindness and love while pointing them to Jesus.
