Day 4: Your King’s Orders

Reflection: Spotters are an essential part of any race team. Positioned on the highest ground at the track, their mission is clear: watch for danger and protect the car. They see what the driver cannot and communicate vital instructions in real time.

But it doesn’t matter how skilled the spotter is—if the driver ignores the voice, disaster follows. If the spotter shouts, “Car on the outside!” and the driver turns up anyway, who’s at fault? The answer is obvious: the driver.

At some point, the driver must learn to trust the spotter’s voice. When that trust is established, the race can truly begin.

The same is true in our walk with God.

Too many men believe God's commands are just rules designed to restrict their freedom or rob them of fun. But a battle-ready warrior knows better. God isn't trying to hold us back—He's protecting us and guiding us forward. He sees things we can’t even imagine. He not only knows what’s around the corner—He created the corner.

When we choose to disregard His commands, we’re essentially saying, “I’ve got this, God. I don’t need You.” That’s a dangerous road to take. Instead, we must learn to see His commandments as insight from the ultimate spotter—given not to limit us, but to help us run our race with excellence.

And remember—God doesn’t create the chaos, but He can help you navigate it.

Mission: Identify the area of your life that’s out of sync with God’s direction. Strengthen that area. Running blind only leads to destruction.

Field Order: Ask God for wisdom on where you need to course-correct. Then—listen. When He responds, act. No matter how small the step, obedience in motion is growth in action. Take that step today.
