Peace in the StormSample

God is Faithful
Paul is closing his letter with a reminder that should steady every believer’s heart: the God who called you is the same God who will keep you. This verse crushes the lie that the weight of your calling rests only on you. If He called you, He already factored in your weaknesses, your shortcomings, and your insecurities. His faithfulness covers what you can’t carry.
Notice it doesn’t say “you will do it.” It says “He will do it.” That means the fulfillment of the call is not based on your perfection but on His promise. God doesn’t make empty calls — if He chose you, He will equip you, sustain you, and finish what He started in you.
This verse is a reminder that obedience is our job, but outcomes are His. Our responsibility is faithfulness; His responsibility is fulfillment.
I’ve doubted if God would really finish what He started in my life. Did I not start the project soon enough? Did I linger too long in a previous season or situation? Did I waste my time and good days running from the call that God would not punish me and not allow me to fulfill it? But time and again, I’ve seen Him bring things together that I thought were falling apart. His faithfulness outlasts my doubts. Philippians 1:6 states it best, "being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus".
Think of one area where you feel stuck. Write it down and declare: “God is faithful. He will do it.” Stop stressing over how it will happen; focus on Who called you. Trust that if God started it, He has already committed Himself to finish it.
