Faith in the Ordinary - a 5 Day Journey Through the Book of Colossians Sample

Colossians calls us to live purposefully, not just in grand achievements, but in small acts of faithfulness. Your studies, your work, your parenting, even your serving in church, all of it can glorify God when done with the right heart. Faith in the ordinary is learning that nothing is wasted in His hands.
We can be tempted to think that worship only happens when we’re singing or doing something in church. But worship is so much more than that. The way we approach our work can be worship. The way we serve the people in our lives can be worship. My faith has grown so much since I realised that God invites me to see all of life as worship.
This shift has allowed me to ascribe worth to God as I give thanks for what I have, but it has also shaped how I love strangers, even before I’m tempted to make a judgment about them. I’ve discovered that we can live with purpose when we choose to see every part of our lives as worship. Whatever we do, we can do it as though we are doing it for the Lord—and that has changed my life.
Reflection:
What task in your life feels small or unnoticed? How can you reframe it as worship?
Prayer:
“Lord, help me serve You with joy in every task, big or small.”
Scripture
About this Plan

Life is often lived in the ordinary; in school, at work, in our homes, in conversations with friends. Yet God meets us there. The book of Colossians reminds us that Christ is supreme, and that His presence transforms even the most mundane moments into opportunities for faith, hope, and love. This plan will help you see the extraordinary in the ordinary and inspire you to live your faith out loud where God has placed you.
