Keeping Godly RelationshipsSample

GODLY VALUES THAT AID ACCOUNTABILITY
Indeed, familiarity breeds contempt. However, a Godly relationship should deliberately avoid contempt no matter how long time keeps it together. You should not be found taking your relationship for granted on the basis that he/she is familiar - in whatever form of relationship - whether friendship, neighborhood relationship, workplace relationship, parents to children and vice versa, sibling relationship, courtship, or even marriage.
You should be mindful of how you express your feelings towards your partner in a Godly relationship. Your expressions should aim at edifying the other and not crucifying them. Everyone has roles to play to drive a Godly relationship. The more consistent you are at performing your roles, the more you are engineering a Godly relationship. In a marriage relationship, for instance, a wife should consistently submit while the husband should consistently love (Colossians 3:18-19). This way, such marriage will be a taste of Heavenly experience on earth.
Godly values in a relationship aid accountability. When you know the other person consistently values you, edifies you, and encourages you, you do not need to scout for any accountability partner elsewhere. It's always beautiful, especially in a marriage relationship, to find an accountability partner in your spouse. James 5:16 says, "Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much." Being accountable to each other can help a smooth spiritual sail in this sin-sick world. Understanding that God's call upon us is not unto uncleanness but unto holiness (1Thess. 4:7), the world needs more of Godly relationships than frivolous relationships. In whatever relationship you have found yourself, ensure that you express GODLY VALUES THAT AID ACCOUNTABILITY.
