Your Salvation Story

Do you remember the day you said yes to God’s call—the day you accepted Jesus as your Savior and Lord? When you connect with God through Remembrance, you are taken back to what He did for you and what He rescued you from; the moment when you knew the trajectory of your life had been forever changed. This was the beginning of your everlasting relationship with your Heavenly Father.

Whether you have been in a relationship with God through Jesus for a long time or you have just started, it is easy to come to His presence when you are taken back to that moment of revelation of how His love first felt. Connecting with God through Remembrance will keep you from growing “familiar” with His love and presence. You will remain grounded in gratitude for the power of salvation in your life through Jesus. Your testimony is solid evidence of the truth that God chose and pursued you first. With this, you know that He is always faithful, and His love never fails.

If you ever feel apathetic, cynical, or jaded, connect with God through Remembrance by reminding yourself of what Jesus did and who He has been in your life. This is a practice and discipline that should be applied to your personal relationship with God. Doing this makes way for a shift in perspective, a changed mindset, and puts Jesus is back on the throne of our hearts.

Prayer

Father, thank You for loving me even when I was still Your enemy. You sent Jesus as a sacrifice for my sins. I look back and see how You were there for me in the good times and the bad. I praise You for Your goodness and grace. Help me never to forget the day You rescued me and to stay grounded in Your love. Amen.

Activation

Ask the Holy Spirit to help you recall your story of salvation in depth. Write down what God has done in your life on that day and thank Him for the great and little details. Ask the Lord to remind you of who you are in Christ and declare that over yourself daily.
