The Pursuit - 12 WeeksSample

Genesis 3 tells the heartbreaking story of Adam and Eve’s choice to disobey God. The serpent twists God’s words, sowing doubt about His goodness. Eve takes the fruit, Adam joins her, and sin enters the world. The result? Shame, blame, broken relationships, and exile from Eden.
This story isn’t just ancient history; it’s our story too. Every time we choose our way over God’s, we repeat the fall. Sin always promises more than it delivers. It blinds us, binds us, and ultimately separates us from God.
Yet even here, God shows grace. He seeks out Adam and Eve with the question, “Where are you?” He clothes their shame and promises a future Redeemer who will crush the serpent. Hope begins in the same chapter where sin enters.
Reflection:
Where do you see echoes of Genesis 3 in your own life—trusting yourself instead of God?
