God Is Able

DAY 1 OF 21

God Is Able to Do More Than We Can Imagine

“But there came a man of God to him, saying, O king, let not the army of Israel go with thee; for the LORD is not with Israel, to wit, with all the children of Ephraim. But if thou wilt go, do it, be strong for the battle: God shall make thee fall before the enemy: for God hath power to help, and to cast down. And Amaziah said to the man of God, But what shall we do for the hundred talents which I have given to the army of Israel? And the man of God answered, The LORD is able to give thee much more than this.” (2 Chronicles 25:7–9)

Stop and think for a moment about the greatest thing you have seen God do in your life. Perhaps it was a miraculous provision for a financial need you had no way to meet. Maybe it was healing when doctors had given up hope, or the salvation of a loved one for whom you had prayed for years. As you remember that moment and thank God for it, remember this: although it was miraculous to you, it was only the smallest glimpse of what He is able to do.

God’s power is never depleted. He never reaches a limit. He never says, “That’s all I can do.” The same God who has already proven His faithfulness in your past stands ready to work again today.

Whatever need you carry today, the Lord is not limited by what you see or what you understand. He is not confined by your circumstances, your resources, or your past. The same God who worked mightily before is still at work now, and He is able to do more than you can imagine. Trust Him, ask Him, and expect His power at work in your life, for “the LORD is able to give thee much more than this.” Whatever need you have today, God is more than able to meet it.

Today’s Takeaway: We should not limit God in our thinking or in our praying, but trust Him for great things.
