Authority Restored in Christ

What Adam lost, Jesus reclaimed.

Jesus came as the Second Adam—not to bypass humanity, but to restore it. Though fully God, He humbled Himself and lived as a Spirit-filled human, showing us what life aligned with Heaven truly looks like. When He entered the wilderness, He faced the same pattern of temptation as Adam did: the lust of the flesh, the pride of life, and the lust of the eyes.

But this time, the response was different. Jesus didn’t negotiate with feelings or argue with the enemy. He answered every temptation with the Word of God. Where Adam questioned God’s voice, Jesus declared it. Authority was reclaimed through obedience.

After the wilderness, Jesus emerged victorious and declared that the Kingdom of God had come. His authority was not theoretical—it reordered nature, healed bodies, silenced demons, and even conquered death. Heaven and earth were realigned in Him.

Jesus now holds all authority in heaven and on earth—not for Himself alone, but for the benefit of the Church. That means His victory is shared with us! In Christ, we are positioned, restored, and invited to participate in His authority.

Tomorrow, we’ll explore what this restored authority means for us personally—and how living “in Christ” changes our identity, position, and daily life.

Jesus, thank You for standing where I could not and winning what I lost. I trust Your authority and receive what You restored. Lead me in Your victory. Amen.
