Shielded by God’s Presence
One of the most comforting truths in Scripture is this: God is committed to protecting His children. His protection is active, intentional, and powerful. As believers, we must walk into each new season with confidence in the God who watches over us.
In Psalm 121, we’re assured that God is our Keeper. He doesn’t sleep or slumber. He guards our going out and coming in. This means that no danger, no trap, and no hidden evil can surprise God. He sees ahead. He covers behind. He surrounds us on every side.
Life is spiritual. Scripture teaches that danger can be physical, emotional, or spiritual. But when we pray, we place our lives under divine security.
Paul understood this deeply. After warning Timothy about Alexander, he declared with boldness: “But the Lord stood with me and strengthened me… and I was delivered out of the mouth of the lion” (2 Timothy 4:17).
That same God stands with you.
That same God strengthens you.
That same God delivers you.
God’s protection includes:
1. Protection from people who wish you harm
Just as God shielded Paul from Alexander, He will shield you from those whose words, actions, or intentions are harmful.
2. Protection from spiritual attacks
Ephesians 6 reminds us that we wrestle not against flesh and blood. But God has given us the armour of light and the authority of Christ.
3. Protection from unseen danger
Accidents, sickness, manipulation, and sudden disaster have no power over a believer who walks under God’s covering.
4. Protection of your mind and peace
Not all danger is physical. Some danger comes as anxiety or mental pressure. God protects the heart and mind of those who trust in Him (Philippians 4:7).
As you step into this new season, declare boldly:
“The Lord is my Keeper. I will not fear. No evil will come near me. I am covered.”
This is not positive thinking. This is the Word of God. Walk with confidence. God’s hand is stronger than any attack. His presence is your shield.
