DAY 7: JESUS — THE RESURRECTION AND THE LIFE
Study Scriptures:
Job 19:25–26 (NKJV)
“For I know that my Redeemer lives, and He shall stand at last on the earth; and after my skin is destroyed, this I know, that in my flesh I shall see God.”
John 11:25–26 (NKJV)
“Jesus said to her, ‘I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die.’”
Romans 8:11 (NLT)
“The Spirit of God, who raised Jesus from the dead, lives in you. And just as God raised Christ Jesus from the dead, He will give life to your mortal bodies by this same Spirit living within you.”
The resurrection of Jesus is the victory that silenced death forever.
When Jesus rose from the grave, He proved that death isn’t the end; it’s the doorway to endless life. The cross looked like defeat, but the empty tomb turned everything upside‑down. That moment declared that what seemed final (the grave) became the start of a new, eternal reality.
Every believer carries this same resurrection power inside through the Holy Spirit.
Because the same Spirit who raised Jesus now lives in us (Romans 8:11), the same life‑giving power is at work in our hearts. That means anything that was “dead” inside you, hope, joy, and faith, can be revived by Christ.
How this works in everyday life
| Dead → Hope – feeling stuck, future looks bleak...
| Resurrected → Living hope – that God’s promises will come true... (1 Peter 1:3)
| Dead → Joy – circumstances steal happiness...
| Resurrected → unspeakable joy – the Spirit fills you with a deep, lasting gladness (Galatians 5:22)
| Dead → doubts cloud belief...
| Resurrected → faith – that moves you to act, because you know God already won the victory (Ephesians 2:8‑10)
Practical ways to experience resurrection life.
1. Renew your mind with Scripture – Meditate on verses like “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me” (Philippians 4:13).The Word is the seed that brings new life.
2. Pray for the Spirit’s power – Ask God daily to fill you with the same resurrection power that raised Jesus (Ephesians 1:19‑20).
3. Worship in spirit and truth – Singing praises lifts dead emotions and invites fresh joy.
4. Serve others – Acting in love activates the life‑force within you; serving is a tangible expression of Christ’s resurrection at work.
Bottom line: Because Jesus lives, we can live too, not just in the future, but right now!. The same power that turned a stone‑sealed tomb into an empty celebration is the same power that can resurrect hope, joy, and faith inside every believer. Walk in that reality, and watch dead things come alive.
This power is not just for one day in heaven; it’s for today. The Spirit of resurrection breaks the power of sin, heals brokenness, and restores purpose. You don’t have to remain buried under fear or failure the tomb is empty, and so are your chains.
CONFESSION
The same Spirit that raised Christ from the dead lives in me. I walk in resurrection power, victory, and newness of life every day.
PRAYER DECLARATION
Father, thank You for resurrection life flowing within me. Jesus, You conquered death so I could live in victory. Holy Spirit, awaken every dead area of my life ; breathe new strength, passion, and faith within me. I declare that I am alive in Christ, and nothing can hold me down again. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
