Stripped Before Sent

DAY 2 OF 10

Day 2: When God Begins to Strip

Focus

Recognising stripping as preparation, not punishment.

Devotional

After calling often comes a season that feels uncomfortable and quiet. Life does not progress the way you expected. Doors stay closed. Patterns repeat. You begin to wonder if you misunderstood God.

What often happens is "stripping".

God begins removing false identity. Expectations built on outcome rather than obedience. Confidence rooted in performance rather than relationship. The belief that calling means exemption from process.

Stripping rarely feels dramatic. It feels slow. It feels repetitive. It feels like watching others move forward while you remain where you are. But God removes what cannot carry the weight of what He plans to give.

Nothing God strips away is meant to destroy you. It is meant to protect what He is forming underneath.

Reflection Questions

  • What has God removed from your life that once defined you?
  • What might God be protecting you from in this season?

Bible Reading

John 15:2

Hebrews 12:11

About this Plan

Stripped Before Sent

Many people grow up around church without truly knowing God. Faith becomes familiar, prayer becomes transactional, and identity remains unsettled. This plan follows a real journey where calling came early but understanding came later. Life did not suddenly improve. Instead came seasons of waiting, loss, training, and unlearning. Stripped Before Sent is a 10-day devotional about formation before commission. It is not about arrival, but recognising what God is doing beneath the surface.
