Day 1: Called Without Clarity

Understanding that God often calls before He explains.

Devotional

Some people grow up around church but never truly know God. Faith becomes routine. Prayer becomes transactional. God feels more like access to favour than someone to walk with.

In one season, life looked unstable and uncertain. There was movement, but no direction. Then, unexpectedly, God interrupted the ordinary. A brief encounter with a stranger. Words spoken without planning. A prayer that felt sincere rather than impressive. Nothing changed externally, yet something shifted internally.

God had spoken, but He did not explain Himself.

Life continued to feel unclear. Work did not suddenly fall into place. Purpose did not arrive fully formed. What followed was waiting. Confusion. Repetition. Yet the call remained.

Calling is not confirmation that you are ready. It is confirmation that God intends to form you. In Scripture, God names people long before they understand the weight of that name. He speaks first, then shapes.

If God has called you and clarity has not followed, it does not mean you misheard Him. It may mean He is more interested in who you are becoming than where you are going.
