Stripped Before SentSample

Day 9: Stewardship Changes Everything
Focus
Taking responsibility for the gifts God has given.
Devotional
Training often brings revelation. Not just about where you are going, but about how you have treated what God already placed in your hands.
There came a moment of realisation that gifts had been handled casually. Writing had always been there, but it was treated lightly. Skills were used without intention. Work was approached as something temporary rather than as an assignment.
God began to shift perspective. Nothing He gives is accidental. Every ability, every opportunity, every place He sends someone is part of their formation. When gifts are treated as jokes, stewardship is delayed.
This season brought repentance, not shame. A realignment of heart. A recognition that obedience includes taking one’s own calling seriously.
God does not ask for perfection. He asks for faithfulness. Stewardship is not about proving worth. It is about honouring what has been entrusted.
Reflection Questions
- What gifts have you treated casually that God may be calling you to steward intentionally?
- How would your perspective change if you viewed your work and abilities as an assignment rather than an obligation?

About this Plan

Many people grow up around church without truly knowing God. Faith becomes familiar, prayer becomes transactional, and identity remains unsettled. This plan follows a real journey where calling came early but understanding came later. Life did not suddenly improve. Instead came seasons of waiting, loss, training, and unlearning. Stripped Before Sent is a 10-day devotional about formation before commission. It is not about arrival, but recognising what God is doing beneath the surface.
