Presence Equals Peace

Spending time with God is not meant to be something we cross off our to-do list. We are not obligated, and we don’t do it simply to say we did. Being in His presence is an incredible privilege that cultivates countless blessings in our lives. There are so many benefits to being with Him, and we overlook them when we view Him as something to accomplish rather than someone to enjoy.

There is a direct connection between the amount of time we spend in God’s presence and how much peace we experience in our lives. Being anxious, frustrated, or overly critical might be symptoms of not spending time in His presence. His presence generates confidence, peace, and contentment. When we have complete trust in God, we are assured that He will be our refuge in times of trouble. He will give us rest when the world feels chaotic or our circumstances don’t make sense.

God is your ever-present help in times of trouble. He will give you peace and rest when you trust Him. One of the greatest blessings of following Him is that you are no longer dependent on your circumstances to experience joy, peace, or contentment. Even if your life is full of turmoil, God is your source of goodness. Everything you truly need is found in Him. While the world trusts in details that shift and change, your security comes from the one who never changes. He is always reliable, steady, and available to you.

Today, deliberately seek Him. Call upon His name and allow Him to draw you close. Invite Him into the details of your life, and trust that He will show up. He loves to walk alongside you, and He longs to fill your life with the goodness of His presence. Put your burdens in His hands, and He will carry them for you. May your day be defined by a continual act of surrender with your eyes steadily on the Onewho made you.
