RIGHTEOUS VICTORY

This is what heaven is all about. God’s kingdom reigns when Righteousness wins every battle against evil.

​

John's great Revelation illustrates the victory of Righteousness in a powerful visual way. “Then I saw heaven opened, and a white horse was standing there. Its rider was named Faithful and True, for he judges fairly and wages a righteous war... He wore a robe dipped in blood, and his title was the Word of God” (Revelation 19:11-13, NLT).

And we’re invited to be part of it! Victory was the picture in God’s mind throughout all the scriptures. All the wonderful promises to the righteous are based on the way He sees us through Christ. “The nations will see your righteousness. World leaders will be blinded by your glory. And you will be given a new name by the Lord’s own mouth. The Lord will hold you in his hand for all to see - a splendid crown in the hand of God” (Isaiah 62:2-4, NLT).

That is our task. To glow with God’s righteousness. To blind the world with the wisdom, peace, courage, and humility that are God’s omnipotent weapons. “..let the Spirit renew your thoughts and attitudes. Put on your new nature, created to be like God - truly righteous and holy” (Ephesians 4:24, NLT).

Do you believe that God’s righteousness is a blinding light that prevents the works of darkness? What would your life look like if you started wearing Christ’s glowing righteousness?

Let us spend time with the Lord to become more like Him every day. And let us pray for His righteousness to light up the world around us. “I will not stop praying for her until her righteousness shines like the dawn, and her salvation blazes like a burning torch” (Isaiah 62:1, NLT).
