"For Such a Time as This"

Esther 4:14 "For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance for the Jews will arise from another place, but you and your father’s family will perish. And who knows but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this?"

Esther’s story is a powerful prophetic reminder that our circumstances or background do not limit God’s purpose for our lives. Esther was a young, orphan Jewish girl in a foreign land. She was an outcast by all societal standards.

Your current circumstances may be challenging, but God's plans are bigger and better than your situation. Mordecai’s words were a challenge to Esther, but also a revelation of God’s timing. “Who knows,” he asked, “but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this?”

Today, God is calling you, as He called Esther, to arise for the purpose He has set before you. You may feel ordinary or unqualified, but so have many other heroes of the faith. God doesn’t choose based on our qualifications. He chooses based on His sovereign plan. If He has called you, you can trust Him.

By every earthly standard, Esther was not "qualified" to be a queen or a national leader. And yet, God elevated her to a position of great authority and placed her in a moment of divine significance.

Your life is not an accident. You are where you are for a reason, and God has positioned you in a place of influence, whether it’s in your family, your workplace, or your community.

Esther was not born into royalty, but God elevated her for His purposes. Her willingness to act is what made her an instrument of salvation for her people. Similarly, God is looking for women who will stop waiting for ideal conditions and instead say yes and trust Him in the middle of uncertainty.

Like Esther, you may not understand the full picture, but God is using you for His greater purpose.

Prayer:

Father, I thank You that You have a purpose for my life, and that You have placed me where I am for such a time as this. Help me to recognize the opportunities You’ve placed before me. Give me the boldness and grace to step forward into Your plan. In Jesus' name, Amen.
