Union With ChristSample

DAY 1 — You Were Made for Communion
Scripture
John 15:4–5 (ESV)
“Abide in me, and I in you… apart from me you can do nothing.”
Devotional
Sometimes the Christian life feels thinner than it should. Growth seems fragile. Obedience feels heavy. Joy does not last as long as we hoped.
Jesus does not increase pressure. He clarifies dependence.
The branch does not create life. It receives life. Fruit grows from connection, not strain.
You were saved to live from His life, not alone, but with Him. Abiding is not earning closeness. It is living from a life already shared with Christ.
Apart from Him we can do nothing. In Him we share everything needed for life and godliness, and He does not withhold Himself from you.
Reflect
·Where do you feel pressure to sustain yourself spiritually?
·What would dependence on Christ look like today?
Prayer
Lord Jesus, teach me to abide. Free me from striving and draw me into deeper communion with You.

About this Plan

Many Christians know the language of grace yet still feel the strain of striving. What if the Christian life was never meant to be sustained by effort, but by shared life? This seven day journey explores the heart of salvation: union with Christ. From our deepest need to God’s merciful initiative, from the cross and resurrection to new identity, obedience, and future glory, you will discover what it means to live from Christ rather than for Him. If you are weary or uncertain, this plan invites you to rest in the life you already share with Him.
