Union With Christ

DAY 4 OF 7

DAY 4 — United to the Crucified and Risen Christ

Scripture

Romans 6:5–8 (ESV)

“If we have been united with him in a death like his…”

Devotional

God made you alive together with Christ. Romans 6 shows how that new life is rooted in His death and resurrection.

Union with Christ is not an idea. It is a reality grounded in the cross and the empty tomb.

Your old self was crucified with Him. That means sin no longer defines you and no longer has final authority over you.

What happened to Christ counts for you. When He died, your old life under sin’s rule ended. When He rose, a new life began, a life joined to Him.

You do not strive to earn acceptance. You live from a life already joined to Christ.

The decisive work has been done. Now you walk in what He has secured. What He has secured cannot be undone.

Reflect

·How does knowing your old self was crucified with Christ change how you see recurring sin?

·What would it look like to live from what He has already secured?

Prayer

Jesus, thank You that Your death and resurrection are the foundation of my new life. Teach me to live from what You have already accomplished.

About this Plan

Union With Christ

Many Christians know the language of grace yet still feel the strain of striving. What if the Christian life was never meant to be sustained by effort, but by shared life? This seven day journey explores the heart of salvation: union with Christ. From our deepest need to God’s merciful initiative, from the cross and resurrection to new identity, obedience, and future glory, you will discover what it means to live from Christ rather than for Him. If you are weary or uncertain, this plan invites you to rest in the life you already share with Him.
