Christ Above Culture - a CrossCultured PerspectiveSample

It's a simpler journey to transfer information. The real task, the real struggle is transferring transformation! A lot of people are scared away by this… because it looks and feels very “expensive”! But in all honesty, the real cost of ministry is not the activities, the programs, the debates, the mess, the sin, or the evil in society today - it's our inability to be authentic, vulnerable, real, and honest with our struggles and our journey!
The patterns of this world and the patterns of "Christian-ese" dictate that you fit a certain box. The world has its expectations, but so does the Christian space. It is super easy to play the role, to look the part, but real impact can only happen when WE are also the clay in the potter's hands... and as we continue to allow the Word of God to continually transform us daily!
Dear God,
Please help me in my surrender journey, and walk me through my transformation. Work on my heart as you make me more like you!

About this Plan

Culture influences how we live. However, scripture shows that God moves beyond cultural boundaries. From Abraham leaving his people to Paul reaching the Gentiles, God’s presence transcends human divisions. Jesus ultimately redefines culture through the lens of the Kingdom of God. Therefore, culture must remain subject to God’s Word, the work of Christ on the cross, and the ongoing spread of the Gospel. To truly hear God, we must be willing to let Him challenge and reshape what we consider our “way of life”. CrossCultured: Making the Cross the Core of the Culture we build!
