DAY 1 OF 7

Day 1: It’s Time to Wake Up

Most people do not realize they are in a war. That is not because the war is hidden. It is because the enemy has learned how to keep people distracted long enough to stop paying attention.

Scripture tells us that our enemy prowls around looking for someone to devour. That language matters. Predators do not attack what is alert. They look for what is tired, unaware, or isolated. If the enemy can keep us busy, entertained, or emotionally exhausted, he does not need to confront us directly.

We live in a culture that never slows down. There is always something to react to, something to scroll past, something demanding our attention. But spiritual battles are rarely won in noise. They are won by people who are awake enough to recognize what is actually happening.

I have watched faith pushed out of public spaces and prayer treated like a problem. I have felt the pressure to soften language, lower volume, and keep worship contained. Those moments forced me to decide whether the Word of God is alive and active or whether it only works in safe environments.

God’s Word does not lose its power because culture resists it. It loses influence only when believers stop wielding it.

We are not called to fight with outrage or intimidation. We are called to demolish lies by taking thoughts captive and bringing them under the authority of Christ. That requires awareness. It requires spiritual clarity. It requires waking up.

The enemy does not need you to abandon faith. He only needs you to be disengaged enough to stop living like the battle is real.

This is not a moment for drifting. This is a moment for alertness. God is calling His people to live awake, anchored in truth, and fully engaged in what He is doing.

Reflection Questions:

  • Where have I allowed distraction or busyness to dull my awareness of what God is doing around me?
  • What signs tell me that I may be spiritually tired rather than spiritually alert?
  • When pressure comes, do I tend to disengage, go quiet, or lean into prayer and truth?
  • What would it look like for me to live more awake to God’s presence today?

Prayer:

Lord, wake me up. Sharpen my awareness. Help me recognize the spiritual battle around me and respond with clarity, faith, and obedience.

About this Plan

No Turning Back

If you are tired of passive faith and feel there has to be more than going through the motions, this plan is for you. In this seven-day devotional, Sean Feucht invites you to step out of passive faith and into clear-eyed, grounded discipleship. Drawing from Scripture, personal experience, and the reality of spiritual warfare in our time, each day calls you to examine what you believe, how you live, and whether you are truly awake to what God is doing right now.
