Love @ Work is patient.
Today, I choose to wait patiently before the Lord, resting in his forgiveness, trusting that he is in control of every aspect of my career. Today I refuse the temptation to act prematurely. Today I refuse the temptation to act without due regard for others' interests.
Today, I choose to be patient with the people I work with. I choose not to react prematurely. I choose to put their interests ahead of my own. I choose to extend to them mercy, grace, and forgiveness. I choose to see them through God’s eyes. I choose to listen without judgment.
Today, I choose to be patient with myself. When I succeed, I will give God all the glory. When I fail, I will reach up to God’s outstretched hand and rise again.
Prayer: Gracious Father, we thank you for your patience. Loving Savior, thank you that we are forgiven and not condemned. Precious Holy Spirit, we wait patiently for you to fill us with your power. Open our eyes to recognize your patient love for others. May your patient love overflow in us to the people we work with. Amen.
