Day 7

Key Passage: John 20.11-18

Jesus said one word and everything changed. Mary Magdalene was sad, confused and crying, but not anymore. Jesus was alive and she told the disciples the good news.

The disciples were still afraid of the Jewish authorities. Were they coming after Jesus’ followers next? In the midst of that fear, let’s read what happens next.

Main Passage: John 20.19-29

Reflection:

• How did the disciples respond when they saw Jesus (v. 20)? How does Thomas respond to the disciples (v. 25)? What happens when he sees Jesus (v. 28)?
• What do you think of Jesus’ words in verse 29? Do you believe Jesus is alive and is he your source of life?
• Thank Jesus for his resurrection and that he is alive. Thank him that his Spirit is with you and he loves you. Ask him to help you follow him and obey him in the coming days. With that in mind, let’s watch Chris August talk about the apostle Paul’s command to God’s dear children.
