A Painted Old Testament | With Ray Comfort, Ron Dicianni & Dave YaukSample
Moses | Truth
A person may be wholeheartedly committed and sincere in what he or she believes, but if it is not the truth ... he or she is deceived. There is a banner hanging in Castle Hedingham in England which reads, “Nothing is truer than truth.” No matter what your status, influence, lobby, or resource, (even if it’s the rest of the known world), you can’t create truth. It either is, or it never will be.
Who decides what truth is? Isn’t it all relative to your situation? Many have fallen for this old smokescreen. Pure and simple, truth is God’s Word. In the Bible, God wrote His own words so that there would be no mistake. Jesus affirms the Scriptures as God’s words and as Truth in John 17:17. There will be a final accounting of what is true and false when Jesus comes again, even if people seem to muster up enough people to sympathize with their cause and created truth. There won’t be lawyers arguing the case for truth in the kingdom. There won’t be picket lines contesting the rulings. There will only be two kinds of spectators: those who chose to believe and live by God’s Word, and those who hated it. Consequences will be handed out without plea bargains.
We are fortunate to have the opportunity to deliver the absolute truth of life to our children. Moses got it first hand from God and we can too. Our kids should not be at the mercy of teachers, friends, or the media when they are looking for the truth—not when we have the Bible sitting on our coffee tables.
