VaJudha vanonzi sungai dzisimbe muzvirwire
1Musi iwoyo mambo Ahasuerusi akapa kuna vahosi vake Esita imba yaHamani muvengi wavaJudha Modhekai akauya kuna mambo nokuti Esita akanga amutaurira kuti chii chake. 2Mambo akabvisa ringi rake rechidhindo raakatorera Hamani ndokuripa kuna Modhekai. Esita akaisa imba yaHamani mumaoko maModhekai.
3Esita akataurazve kuna mambo. Akawira pasi pamakumbo ake achimuteterera nemisodzi padama kuti akonese bangano rakaipa raHamani muAgagi nezano raakanga aronga rokuparadza vaJudha. 4Mambo akasumudzira tsvimbo yake yendarama kuna Esita, 5Esita akabva asimuka akamira mberi kwamambo, akati, “Kana zvichikufadzai zvenyu mambo uye mandiitirawo tsiye nyoro, uyezve kana muchichionawo kuti chingave chinhu chakanaka, mandiitirawo mwoyochena; ngakunyorwe matsamba anoti: zvakanga zvakatemwa mutsamba, naHamani muchiAgagi mwanakomana waHamedhata, tsamba dzaakanga anyorera kuparadza vaJudha vari munyika dzose dzamambo. 6Nokuti ndingaise kupi mwoyo kuona nyatwa iri kuwira vanhu vokwangu? Uye kuti ndingabate papi chaizvo kuona vanhu vokwangu vachiparadzwa?”
7Mambo Ahasuerusi akati kuna vahosi Esita naModhekai muJudha, “Chionai kuti ndakapa Esita imba yaHamani, akasungirira Hamani pamutandarikwa pamusana pokuti aida kuzouraya vaJudha. 8Zvino imi mochinyora zvamunoda nezvevaJudha muzita ramambo mugozvidhinda neringi ramambo rechidhindo nokuti chirevo chinenge chanyorwa muzita ramambo uye chikadhindwa neringi ramambo rechidhindo, hachisandurwi.”
9Vanasamunyori vamambo vakadaidzwa panguva iyoyo mumwedzi wechitatu, unonzi Sivani pari pazuva rechimakumi maviri namatatu. Kwakanyorwa chirevo chaitaura zvainge zvatemwa naModhekai pamusoro pevaJudha chichienda kumadzishe namasadunhu namachinda enyika dzaibvira kuIndia kusvika kuItiopia, dzaisvika zana namakumi maviri ane nomwe.
