Manric Tan (LMPM): The Life of JosephHalimbawa
God’s Intention Is Always Good
Worldview matters. Worldview refers to our core beliefs that determine how we act, react, and live in general.
Craig Groeshel laments the existence of so many ‘’Christian atheists’’, those who consider themselves believers in the Bible, or even in the person of Jesus Christ, but their lives are so contrarian to the teachings of Scripture and to the heart of God.
Joseph had no Bible in hand while he was living. But I’m sure even as a young man, he was taught the teachings of God, and when the rubber meets the road, he went through the pit to prison to palace, all in one piece, and not just survived, but thrived.
I close with several reminders for all my fellow dreamers and sojourners:
• Dreams take time to fulfill. There is always a process involved, often painful. God can give you a dream now, but it doesn’t mean its fulfillment is now. It usually comes later, much later if I may add.
• Sometimes, the very people we love are the ones who can hurt us the most and cut us the deepest. That’s why LOVE is sometimes spelled F-O-R-G-I-V-E-N-E-S-S. It’s not telling others, ‘’what have you done to me lately?’’ But rather focusing on God and reflecting, “What has God done for me lately?’’
• Bad things can happen to God’s people; but God will always be in control.
• You can’t always get the good in the bad, but you can always be assured that God will see you through the bad.
• God is the great Alchemist. An alchemist is someone who tries to change ordinary metals into gold. There are no shortcuts to making gold. Things that are precious are always tested and go through the fire. The process is painful, but the end result is always worth it, and in God’s eyes, pleasing.
Joseph is given the title, ‘’The Dreamer.’’ He lived a life most of us can only dream of. But though we have our journeys to take, we too can ask and allow God to dream His dream in us and through us, and live a testimony that glorifies Jesus name!
