Joy in the Harvest
Jesus had sent His disciples into every town and village where He was about to go. They were commissioned to prepare a way for the Living Word. Jesus wanted to give all a chance to receive Him. The disciples come back reporting powerful testimonies of healing and deliverance. They were overjoyed to be a part of Jesus’ mission.
We were made to glorify God and enjoy Him forever. The deepest longings of our hearts are satisfied when we partake of His life and fulfill His purposes. Walking in obedience to Jesus’ mission fills us with joy and causes us to overflow with His love. Being a part of God’s family and sharing the love of Jesus with others is our highest calling and the way our hearts come alive.
There will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent. —Luke 15:7 (NIV)
