God has perfect timing 🕑
Do you know that God wants to promote you at the right time and in the right place? God is so amazing. He has this wonderful plan for our lives. But He needs our cooperation, and we need a little faith.
The Bible says, “Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that He may lift you up in due time.” (1 Peter 5:6, NIV) Wow! In due time, God wants to exalt you. Doesn’t that sound great? Wait, I’m hearing you say, “Wait a minute, Goulet. When is a due time, and what does exalt mean? These are two terms that aren’t common in our society.” So let’s break it down a bit:
- Due season means a measure of time or a fixed and definite time. In other words, God will exalt you at the right, specific time. The Greek word is kairos. Some of you are familiar with that term.
- To exalt means to lift you up, to raise to a high summit of prosperity, dignity, honor, and happiness. Wow, that sounds pretty amazing.
- There is only one condition: you must humble yourself under God’s mighty hand. You need to dump pride and simply assign yourself to a lower rank, go low, and submit to the hand of God.
All you need to do today and every day is to humble yourself before God and back off. He’ll lift you up at the right time.
I’ve struggled with a few, very frustrating situations recently. COVID-19 and countless other circumstances have tested my patience and ability to forgive. I keep telling myself, “Alright, Paul, stay cool, calm, and forgive. Take the high road and do the right thing.” It’s so hard sometimes to humble myself and just wait on God. It feels more normal to take control and react out of anger or pride. Can you relate?
That’s why I shared 1 Peter 5:6. God’s hand is mighty. He will move in supernatural ways if we just humble ourselves and learn to wait on Him. God will lift you up, prosper you, and bring you real happiness because you are a miracle.
