Come to the Table: A Special Needs Devotionalنموونە

Would It Have Been Better If My Loved One Had Not Lived?
After his kingdom was relatively secure, David inquired after any living relatives of Saul or Jonathan. He soon learned about Mephibosheth. When David invited Mephibosheth to come to his court, he did so because of the covenant with and love for Jonathan. Mephibosheth was invited to feast at the king’s table all the days of his life. David would have given him that privilege whether he was differently abled or not. Mephibosheth’s presence at the table was a demonstration of acceptance and love. His very presence at the table gave glory to God. We do not know why you or your loved one was allowed to have a different ability. But we can be assured that the works of God and His glory can be displayed in and through any ability.
