Come to the Table: A Special Needs Devotionalنموونە

How Long Must I Grieve?
While many days will be full of hope and triumph, there will be days that you may ask, ‘How many times will I grieve in this situation?’ When you see other children reaching developmental milestones, preparing for graduation, and planning a wedding, you may grieve the loss of all of these dreams. In an interview with a good friend whose son was turning 18, she shared the mixed emotions she felt watching her friend’s children make decisions about college. Her son is non-verbal and lives at home. She gracefully came to terms with the likelihood that he would not have the life that she envisioned for him when he was younger.
